Expert Witness Reports

Need a professional surveyor’s report to support a legal dispute?

Disputes are to be avoided but when a matter becomes litigious it is often necessary to obtain an expert’s report. These are usually required to be presented in a particular format (CPR35). Collier Stevens provides expert witness services for residential property matters across London & Kent.

Our fields of expertise are:

  • Party wall disputes but not boundary disputes or right to light issues.
  • Landlord & tenant service charge disputes where we have acted for both freeholders and leaseholders.
  • Landlord and tenant housing disrepair and section 11 disrepair matters. Usually we represent tenants over condensation and dampness issues.
  • Landlord and tenant assured shorthold tenancy checkout and damage disputes and claims against deposit.
  • Building problems, in particular cavity wall insulation and conservatory installations. We have provided reports on behalf of the relevant ombudsman services and the consumer refund service.
  • Building project disputes for minor building works (contract values up to £100k) which have included contractual and payment disputes and quality of workmanship disputes.

It is always best to discuss your requirements with us first. We only take instructions where we have the necessary knowledge and expertise to prepare a detailed and accurate report.

Call us to talk to a surveyor about your requirements — London 020 8295 1200 or Kent 01303 239000
